About Us

The Successful Writer has undergone several transformations since its inception in 2005. After the initial website offered visitors information on a wide-range of writing topics, we moved to an article directory format. While this was successful, it also proved to be overwhelming. For every article that made it into the article directory, hundreds were rejected. Most often this was because they had nothing to do with writing. Even so, each one had to be read, a decision had to be made, and an action had to be taken. The process was incredibly time intensive, considering the number of submissions that came in every day.

So here we are at our newest incarnation. The Successful Writer has narrowed down its scope. The articles are written in house. And we're no longer serving as an article directory. There's no question this will dramatically impact our Google ranking and traffic. However, we believe the website will better serve our visitors in the end.
